Person and Family Centred Care Champion Training aims to enhance your practice in the delivery of person and family centered care.

You will discover contemporary person-centred care practice and how to influence and implement practice change in your clinical area.

Person and Family Centred Care principles are aligned with NSQHS Standard 2 - Partnering with Consumers.

Target Audience

All Nursing, Medical and Allied Health Staff who have an interest in providing clinical leadership for person and family centred care

 Audience Recommendations

  • Open to ENs, RNs, Allied Health Disciplines, Medicine
  • Highly recommended NUMs, NCs attend.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the PFCC BPG Champion Training it is anticipated the Participant will be able to:

  • Describe, integrate and demonstrate the core principles of Person and Family Centred Care
  • Describe the relationship between Person and Family Centred Care and NSQHS Partnering with Consumers -  Standard 2
  • Describe the relationship between PFCC principles and Organisational initiatives
  • Understand their role as Champion to share learning’s to promote person centred practice within their practice setting and contribute to implementation, evaluation, and sustainability of related activities at wing/service level
  • Access further information, resources and learning opportunities on Person and Family Centred Care.
