CALHN Nursing Education Courses
Annual Update Day
The Annual Update Day is primarily aimed at Nursing Staff whom work as a casual, weekends only, permanent night duty, return-to-work and staff in areas who do not have access to traditional ‘double-staff’ time.
For nursing staff returning to work that require stand-alone EMR Sunrise Nursing Training a separate study day is offered. Please refer to Sunrise EMR standalone Nursing Training .
Current CALHN strategies that affect nursing practice, including but not limited to:
- Practical basic life support
- Practical manual tasks
- Medication safety
- Complex behaviours - de-escalation
- Hospital acquired infections
- Towards zero harm / Communicating for safety
- Update / Sunrise tips and tricks
- Wellbeing and self care
Please ensure you have updated the modules listed within the last 12 months prior to attending the workshop.

Incomplete forms will be returned to the applicant and bookings will not be processed until the form is complete.
