Annual Update Day

Program Outline

The Annual Update Day is primarily aimed at Nursing Staff whom work as a casual, weekends only, permanent night duty, return-to-work and staff in areas who do not have access to traditional ‘double-staff’ time.

Content Covered

Current CALHN strategies that affect nursing practice, including but not limited to:

  • Practical basic life support
  • Practical manual tasks
  • Medication safety
  • Complex behaviours - de-escalation
  • Hospital acquired infections
  • Towards zero harm / Communicating for safety
  • Update / Sunrise tips and tricks
  • Wellbeing and self care

Course Pre-Requisites:

Please ensure you have updated the modules listed within the last 12 months prior to attending the workshop.
