Clozapine Refresher Education Day - Glenside Health Services
The clozapine refresher day sessions are for Nurses, Medical Officers and Pharmacists who have previously completed the initial comprehensive Clozapine training.
Workshop Aim
Professional development session for Clinicians who have a role in providing Clozapine Coordination for Consumers across the Mental Health Services to ensure contemporary practice and maintain practice competency and currency.
Topics covered in the refresher session
· Pharmacy considerations, pharmacokinetics of clozapine
· Back to basics, the clozapine protocol requirements
· Cardiac guidelines
· Clozapine Induced Gastrointestinal Hypomotility (CIGH)
· Recent death review – what are people on clozapine dying of?

Eligibility / Entry Requirements
This session is open to anyone who has already completed the two day comprehensive clozapine training.
If you haven’t completed the two day training there is a program running 10 & 11 August 2023.
