Learning outcomes
On completion of this course you will be able to:
- recognise your role as a health care worker in utilising secondary and tertiary approaches to child protection
- explain the impact domestic and family violence, caregiver substance misuse, caregiver mental health issues and disengagement from services has on child safety and wellbeing
- explain the role and function of the Multi Agency Protection Service and the Family safety Framework
- explain the concept of cumulative risk and harm and its impact on child safety and wellbeing
- identify personal stress and utilise self-care activities
- locate Child Protection supports and services.
