At the end of this course to you will:

  • know how patient rights impact on your role and be able to partner with consumers to uphold their patient rights
  • apply patient-centred care principles in your role with consumers

  • identify the key elements of good communication and how it relates to patient-centred care
  • apply good health literacy practice to your role in partnering with consumers to enable patients to better understand information and make informed decisions about their care and treatment
